About Fresh Spawn and How We Check Answers
Last updated Oct 27, 2026
Fresh Spawn answers the questions players ask in the first weeks after a game comes out on Steam: where a material is, what unlocks what, whether a feature exists. We cover games that are new enough that the big wikis have not filled in yet.
How we check
- Every page lists the sources it was built from, tagged Official, Community or Video, with links you can open.
- Facts about the game itself, such as platforms, languages and requirements, come from the Steam store and are refreshed every week.
- Every page shows the date it was last checked and the game version it was checked on.
- When sources disagree, the page names both instead of picking one silently.
- We do not write reviews or scores, and we do not claim to have play-tested a game.
Corrections
Send the page link and what changed. Confirmed corrections are made within a week and the checked date is updated.
Who writes this
The guides team picks the questions and writes the answers. Every claim is matched to a listed source before a page goes live. After a patch, pages that may be affected are re-checked first.
